Happy Birthday to Me! It comes just once a year, and the best gifts of all are my loved ones so dear. – Night Before My Birthday Book

Perhaps one of the most beautifully illustrated and diverse children’s books I’ve experienced in years, Joni Rubenstein’s the Night Before My Birthday Book is the best present with pages for any child on their birthday.  My middle child, Mackell who is 6-years-old, picked up the book after seeing it on my desk and read it from cover-to-cover on his own.  The melodic rhyming of each poem make the book a page turner for kids and the bright hues of blue and yellow propels them forward.  My favorite part of the book is the wish recorder at the end of the story.  The Night Before My Birthday Book includes a section that allows you to record the wishes your child makes each year on their birthday.  For this reason the book is great in creating a family tradition and storage as a keepsake to show to your child and grandchildren one day.   To learn more visit Joni’s website by clicking here.

In the words Joni, the author of Night Before My Birthday Book,:

The Night Before My Birthday Book is a way for children and parents to commemorate the continuous transitions and joys of family life. Children come into hearts and homes in different ways; this book is for all families.
