    Allegheny Connect| Allegheny County Department of human services offers many resources including  free rides to and from non-emergency medical appointments for anyone on Medical Assistance. and drive up food distribution.

    Allegheny county drive up distribution| Food Distributions will continue to offer a mix of loose grocery items, focusing on fresh produce, dairy and protein, in family sized portions.
  6. Fresh Fridays on the Hilltop

    Fresh Fridays on the Hilltop| In partnership with other Hilltop organizations, Hilltop Alliance launched “Fresh Fridays on the Hilltop” in 2012 to increase the availability of and access to fresh produce in the Hilltop. Fresh Fridays on the Hilltop seeks to fill a most immediate gap in access to fresh foods.

    Food Bucks The Food Trust’s Nutrition Incentives program, offering Food Bucks and Food Bucks Rx (FBRx), helps make fresh produce and other healthy foods accessible and affordable.

    Salvation Army | Anyone in need of a nutritious meal can find one at The Salvation Army. Our holistic approach to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each person helps move many from crisis to empowerment.
  9. Produce for People

    Produce to People | Produce to People is a program of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and distributes produce and other grocery items to at-need families on a monthly basis. AVAC will be sponsoring distributions in the Allegheny Valley area on the 2nd Tuesday evening of each month. Anyone who financially qualifies is welcome….
