Everyone is always asking me about my Bantu knot twist out. Most people love the curl pattern that comes after taking your bantu knots out. I, personally, love wearing my Bantu knots; twist out or no twist out. I also love the way my hair feels when I use Beija Flor Naturals’ Cocoa Mango Buttercream moisturizer when twisting up my Bantu knots and the shine it gives my hair when I wear my twist out.
Beija Flor Naturals’ products are made especially for kinky and curly hair and it’s a sistah-owned company. You can use most of their products on your skin and hair and some (like the Agave Aloe Facial Polish) even taste good. I was seriously in love with this product after trying out their Creme Brulee two years ago. It smells like sugar and butter and leaves your hair so happy and soft! If you’d like to try their products, enter our $30 off giveaway below. Here’s how I used the Beija Flor’s Cocoa Mango Buttercream moisturizer in my Bantu knot twist out.
My Top 4 Beija Flor Naturals go-to products:
Creme Brulee is great for cute and shiny twist-outs. It left my hair soft, but didn’t weigh it down. Licorice Root Scalp Elixir for mamas like me with thick hair. I love this product because I have a ton of hair and product never seems to be able to reach my scalp. I massaged my scalp with this product before washing and styling my hair and it felt sooo good! It has that menthol tingle that lets you know your scalp is getting clean, but it also has an oil-based moisturizer that helps your scalp get some light-weight moisture love.
